WasabiCon PDX offers an abundance of programming throughout the weekend for a variety of interests. We typically post the complete schedule with all of our planned contests, competitions, panels, workshops and other entertainment. Listed here are some of the main events to be aware of when you attend this year’s convention.
Separately Ticketed Event. Connection link established! No downloads or hacking required to access the .digital//dance network of partygoers. Featuring music performances by athing, dj sh, and M5007, this is an all ages event that goes late into the night and is available to all convention attendees. Get your techwear, goggles, and glowsticks ready to upload and break out of your virtual shell to join the fun!

Media guests who appear at WasabiCon participate in at least one Q&A (question and answer) session each day of the convention. Ask your favorite star about their experiences and listen to their stories about working in the industry.

The Cosplay Lip Sync Battle is back again at WasabiCon PDX for fans to showcase their energy and costumes on stage! Channel your inner pop star (or rock star… or country star… you get it, right?) while “performing” Milli Vanilli style in your chosen character costume.

What’s an anime convention without cosplay? Our annual cosplay contest returns with the opportunity for attendees to showcase their hard work on their cosplay for the audience and our judges.

Introducing our newest event, the WasabiCon PDX Cosplay Runway! Cosplayers are invited to cross our Main Events stage with their best model walk and strike a pose for fans to enjoy.

WasabiCon PDX will showcase Itasha Cars at this year’s convention! This year’s cars will be showcased downtown at Pioneer Courthouse Square just one block away from the event.

Kigurumi Fashion Show
Presented by Rose City Fashion Week, this cozy to convention event brings a fun and fantastical runway walk in various fandom themed kigurumis! Stop by the Rose City Fashion Week table to sign up and strut your stuff.

Separately Ticketed Event. Konnichiwa! Maid Café Mikkusu welcomes WasabiCon PDX attendees to experience an actual Akihabara-inspired maid cafe presentation similar to the ones in Japan. These all-ages events include your choice of coffee or tea, a cupcake, a kawaii meet and greet with the maids, a short stage performance, games, and other immersive elements!

Separately Ticketed Event. Are you ready to party? Set sail with your first mate for the Party Like A Pirate 21+ after party hosted by Cosplay Deviants! Featuring music by DJ Remnant, this adults only event will go late into the night for fans who want to keep their con going. Who knows, you might even see some booty! (Note: this is 21+ ages event, and may feature nudity and suggestive themes that may not be suitable for all attendees.)
